I only had to view the videos a brief amount to know the truth of what was being said about the social media revolution. I see social media as a “value added” to clients who come to see a therapist in privatge practice. I believe clients will read blogs, tweets, etc., between sessions if marketed to them. Regardless of my opinion joining the revolution is here and will change the way we connect.
Brenda, I agree! Are your professors talking about ethics or legal concerns related to social media? I’ve heard some amazingly scary stories about therapists who have used social networking and ended up in serious problems with clients; of course, I can also see the benefits. Just wondering if graduate programs are on top of this and providing guidance yet.
